Old fashioned Peach Cobbler
Old fashioned Peach Cobbler. You can also use apples, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries etc.
Ingredients
Fresh Fruit
- 5 Peaches Fresh Fruit Peaches, Apples, Strawberries, Blueberries etc.
- 4 TBSP. Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 TBSP. Cinnamon
- 1 TSP. Nutmeg
Batter
- 1 Stick Butter Melt in the bottom of pan in oven
- 1 Cup Flour
- 2 TSP. Baking Powder
- 3/4 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Milk
Instructions
Fresh Fruit Mix
- Place the fresh fruit (peaches, apples, blackberries, strawberries etc.) in a bowl.
- Add 4 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 cup water, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Allow the fruit mixture to sit for a while preparing the batter mix.
Batter Mix
- In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 3.4 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup of milk.
- Mix it completely. It will be similar to pancake batter when finished.
Prepare Pan
- Place one stick of butter in a pan and put it in the oven for just a few minutes until completely melted.
Combine Batter and Fruit
- Put the fruit in the pan over the melted butter. Do not mix it. Just allow the butter to flow over the fruit.
- Pour batter over the fruit.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg on top of batter.
- Place in the oven at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve and enjoy. Old fashioned peach cobbler is best when served warm with a scoop of ice cream and a cup of coffee.
